Corporal Benjamin Monty Robinson - 2 dead civilians and still no arrest....

Let me introduce you to the RCMP's finest, Corporal Monty Benjamin. This is the piece of shit, and i use the term accurately, who lead the 4 RCMP officers into the murderous rampage that ended in the death of Robert Dziekanski, the polish immigrant who was tasered to death October 14th, 2007 at the Vancouver Airport.

Turns out Corporal Monty Benjamin isn't just happy killing one innocent civilian, he's gone out and bettered it. This time he struck and killed a young motorcyclist while driving drunk. He then fled the scene of the accident, and claimed that he was drinking after the accident. (Even though the police caught him minutes later). I also understand the low life had his own kids in the car at the time of the accident.

Fast forward to today, and in disgust and disbelief I watch along with the community as this bottom feeder is charged only with obstruction of justice. (Full report on CTV) This is what policing has become - 2 innocent civilians dead at this guys hands, and not a hint of justice served. The media really hasn't even been clear making a deal out of the fact that this is the same guy that was a part of the taser death 4, infact this is the senior officer.

We all knew that the police and justice system do little to nothing to protect us in Vancouver, now we know they are in some cases actually the people we should fear most...

Great report from the National Post

this from the vancouver sun:

The off-duty officer allegedly left the scene of the accident, which occurred about 10:30 p.m., and walked home, a short distance away, then returned 10 minutes later, when he advised police he had two beers at a party and two shots of vodka at home before returning to the scene.

The officer gave samples of his breath at 11:56 p.m. and 12:16 a.m. His readings were .12 and .10, which exceeded the legal limit of .08 for impaired driving. Robinson had his driver's licence suspended for 90 days but lost his attempt to overturn the suspension last March.

In dismissing Robinson's petition to overturn the suspension, B.C. Supreme Court Justice Mark McEwan found that Robinson's claim that he had two shots of vodka after the accident was not credible.

And this from CBC:

Witnesses said the driver of the Jeep, who had two children in his vehicle, left the scene of the collision.

The National Post:

Cpl. Robinson is charged instead with one count of obstruction of justice. He is innocent unless proven otherwise. The tragic death of an innocent young man; the Crown's belated, timid decision; above all, Cpl. Robinson's recklessness. If all this seems a travesty, consider: Even if Cpl. Robinson pleads guilty to obstruction or goes to trial and is found guilty, he might still return to active RCMP duty.

After winning an award for bravery from shooting a man, it becomes easier and easier to abuse power.

For instance being part of a neon vested, armed to the teeth police force, Corporal Robinson used a stunning abuse of force in dealing with a confused and nervous immigrant, rather than use the influence that that many police officers could try to talk poor Mr. Dziekanski down.

Then it seems running down a motorcyclist in your own neighborhood and leaving him to die on the street while you build an alibi, rather than help save his fleeting life, well I can't imagine what's left for our Corporal Monty Robinson.
